Story details
Corn harvest was 52% complete across 18 states in the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service’s Crop Progress report released on 19 October. Those states account for 93% of 2025 corn acreage. The pace was ahead of 44% a week earlier and the 2021–2025 average of 33%. A figure for the corresponding week last year was not available.
Soybean harvest reached 77% across 18 states representing 96% of 2025 planted acreage. The figure was 64% the previous week and above the five-year average of 46%; no year-earlier comparison was available for the corresponding week. The report measures progress as the share of acreage harvested in selected states, not as a production or yield estimate. Some 2025 comparisons are unavailable because Crop Progress reports were cancelled during last year’s federal funding lapse.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page. The preference cookie lasts six months; advertising measurement and personalization stay off.
