Story details

According to WAM’s 3 October report, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Ajman Chamber and the Ajman Department of Finance activated a Unified Attestation Package, bringing the issuance and attestation of documents issued by Ajman Chamber into one process. The announcement says the package was launched at the Thara Centre for Entrepreneurship and links a federal ministry with local entities in a shared service journey. Its stated purpose is to reduce separate applications to multiple bodies and advance the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.

Ajman Chamber Director-General Salem Al Suwaidi said the previous transaction involved six procedures and 15 steps. Under the unified process, it comprises three procedures and three steps, with completion through a single window in a matter of minutes. This is a comparison of the process design reported at the launch. The source does not publish an observed average completion time, monthly transaction volume or attestation fee. The reference to minutes should therefore be read as the intended journey described by the partners, rather than a measured performance result.

Ajman Department of Finance Director-General Marwan Ahmed Al Ali said his department contributes through electronic integration and payment systems, including collection and settlement processes. The announcement presents digital solutions, data exchange and links between institutions as components of a faster and more accessible public service. The package is intended to simplify document procedures for businesses and customers, although WAM does not identify a separate outcome for a particular company, exporter group or document type. It also refers to integration that meets security standards but provides no technical architecture or data-protection detail.

The launch was attended by Sheikha Hissa bint Sultan Al Nahyan, MoFA Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs; Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Ajman Chamber Vice Chairman; and officials from the participating bodies. Mohammed Al Janahi, the Chamber’s Executive Director of Member Support Services, presented the customer journey before and after activation. Attendees also included representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Digital Ajman and chambers of commerce and industry elsewhere in the UAE. The partners framed the design as federal-local coordination and a response to customer feedback.

The service was presented as consistent with Ajman Vision 2030 and the UAE’s We the UAE 2031 agenda. For trade, fewer procedural steps and institutional contacts could make official document handling more straightforward, but actual time and cost savings would need to be established from operational data. WAM reports the package’s scope and the change in stated step counts, while offering no numerical data on transactions completed, channels used, outages or customer satisfaction. The announcement documents the start of a redesigned service; evidence of its economic efficiency will depend on results collected after implementation.
