Story details
Applause, a software testing and digital quality services company, said in an announcement dated 22 October that it would attend the Dubai AI Festival 2026 on 26–27 October at Dubai World Trade Centre and present its AI evaluation services. The company said its team would be at booth G112 and listed two employees attending. This is a pre-event notice: the festival had not yet taken place as of 22 October, and the release does not report an outcome from Applause’s planned presentation.
The evaluation approach Applause describes combines scoring by multiple large language models with a “golden dataset” created by in-market domain experts and end users. The company refers to this as a multi-model LLM-as-judge or “jury” architecture. It presents the system as a managed service intended to help businesses assess AI products before release. The announcement does not name the models, describe the size or coverage of the test datasets, report error rates against human evaluation, or provide results from specific customer deployments.
Applause also says it provides safety and risk testing, including red teaming, for chatbots, agentic systems and other AI products, alongside data collection. Red teaming generally tests how a product responds to misuse attempts or security weaknesses. The release describes these as services in the company’s portfolio; it does not claim that they amount to an independent audit standard, confer regulatory certification or guarantee a system’s safety.
The company said it planned to use the festival’s “Defining the Next Era of AI” theme to discuss how human oversight can remain part of AI development. Its appearance is a vendor presentation within Dubai’s AI event calendar; the announcement by itself does not establish a new AI infrastructure investment, local partnership or public-sector contract in the UAE. Useful follow-up would include technical detail about the methods demonstrated and any measurable evaluation results the company later publishes.
