The 2025 Scottish Household Survey found that adult satisfaction with local schools rose to 72%, from 69% in 2024. Dissatisfaction also increased, from 9% to 11%, while the share who were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied fell from 22% to 17%.
Satisfaction was 80% among households with a school-aged child and 68% among households without one. The report says the 2020 and 2021 survey years are not comparable with other years because of pandemic-era changes in methodology, response rates and respondent profiles.
INSEE data for 2022 put the share of the region’s most polluting car classes at 29.8%, rising to 48.7% among car-owning households with the lowest incomes.
INE reported that the index fell 1.8% from the preceding quarter in the fourth quarter of 2026. The balance of firms expecting favorable conditions narrowed to 5.7 points.
