Statistics Norway’s 15 September economic outlook forecasts annual wage growth of 4.3% in 2026, against consumer-price inflation close to 3%. The agency says that would mean real wages rising for a third consecutive year, although high borrowing rates continue to weigh on households, particularly those with substantial debt.

The agency’s table projects Mainland Norway GDP growth of 1.4% in 2026 and 2.1% in 2027, with CPI inflation at 3.2% and 2.5% respectively. These are forecasts, not measured results. SSB says the analysis used information available through 10 September and relies on its KVARTS macroeconomic model.
