Story details
Türkiye’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced on 10 September 2026 the intervention purchase prices the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) would pay for seedless raisins. For Bandırmalı seedless raisins, the listed price is TL100 per kilogram for grade 10, TL95 for grade 9, TL90 for grade 8 and TL85 for grade 7. The ministry said intervention buying was needed to prevent harvest-season market prices from falling, support market stability and protect producers. The notice sets out the purchase prices for four quality grades; it does not say that market prices will settle at those levels or that TMO will buy the entire crop.
TMO said it had completed preparations for technical infrastructure, storage capacity, staffing and financing, and would begin purchases on 15 September 2026. Since prices are graded per kilogram, the quality classification of each delivery determines the applicable rate. The ministry’s notice provides no further detail on the geographic scope, total volume to be purchased, delivery or application locations, or closing date for the buying period. The price announcement therefore documents the intervention terms and start date set by TMO, but offers no later outcome data on producer income or average market prices.
