Story details
Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı announced on 11 September 2026 that TL4,108,005,938 in agricultural support payments would be transferred to farmers. The ministry listed four components that sum to the total: TL4,051,204,220 for calf support; TL45,810,800 for water-buffalo calf support; TL5,702,714 for base crop-production support; and TL5,288,204 for planned crop-production support. The breakdown means calf support accounts for about 98.6% of the announced package. The ministry said the funds would be transferred to accounts that day; the release does not provide separate outcome data confirming the amount ultimately paid in subsequent days.
The announcement combines four support lines for livestock and crop producers in a single payment notice. The largest allocation is the base calf payment, followed by support for buffalo calves; the two crop-support lines together total about TL11m. The ministry did not provide the number of recipients, provincial distribution, payment per animal or which crop producers received how much. The figures therefore document the components of the transfer package announced for 11 September, rather than measuring its effect on farm incomes or output.
