Story details

Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı said the 2026 Rural Development Investment Programme would provide TL11.3bn in grants to 3,180 projects, with the grants expected to support TL19.5bn in total rural investment. In a ministry announcement dated 13 September 2026, family businesses accounted for the largest group, with 2,164 projects; 1,751 of those involved women and young entrepreneurs. Yumaklı said 77% of the programme budget had been allocated to family businesses. These are allocation and investment figures in the government’s programme announcement; they should not be read as completed spending or realised investment outcomes.

The programme also provides TL1.2bn in grants for 2,047 applications under the Water-Efficient Agricultural Irrigation Systems scheme. The ministry linked this component to improving efficiency in agricultural water use. The announced TL12.5bn total consists of TL11.3bn for 3,180 rural investment projects and TL1.2bn for the irrigation applications. The release does not list the location of each project, application timetable or how much had been paid by a particular date. The figures therefore describe the stated grant framework and expected private investment; implementation results would need to be established through subsequent payment or monitoring data.
