Story details

Sidra Medicine announced on 30 September that it had introduced two specialised therapies for children with high-risk neuroblastoma: naxitamab (Danyelza), for the first time in the GCC, and dinutuximab beta (Qarziba), for the first time in Qatar. The hospital said both medicines are anti-GD2 monoclonal antibody therapies.

The treatments were administered to two patients after stem-cell transplantation. Sidra said the work involved coordination between its paediatric haematology and oncology and haematopoietic stem-cell transplant teams, adding to the specialised options available at the hospital for high-risk neuroblastoma.
