Story details
In a third-quarter and nine-month update dated 19 October, UK North Sea producer Serica Energy reported average production of 37,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) from January through September, up 44% from 25,700 boe/d a year earlier. Third-quarter output averaged about 22,000 boe/d. The company reported nine-month revenue of $905 million, capital expenditure of $113 million and cash of $227 million at 30 September. These are company-reported figures.
Annual maintenance at the Triton FPSO began on 27 July. During preparations and safety checks for restart, the operator identified the need to replace an engine in one power-generation unit; its revised forecast is for production to resume around the end of November. Serica said output across its enlarged portfolio could reach about 65,000 boe/d once Triton is back, while its average production expectation for 2026 is now just below 40,000 boe/d. Its post-tax cash-flow-from-operations guidance remains $450–475 million.
