Macron’s Gulf tour brings diesel supply commitments, Élysée says
France’s presidency reports about 100,000 additional tonnes of diesel per month from the UAE, with another 100,000 tonnes expected to be confirmed by Bahrain.
French President Emmanuel Macron visited Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia from 19 to 21 October, according to the Élysée’s 21 October account. The presidency said the talks covered stability and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and securing and diversifying France’s energy supplies and transport routes.
The Élysée said about 100,000 additional tonnes of diesel per month had been obtained from the UAE, while another 100,000 tonnes per month were expected to be confirmed by Bahrain. These are the presidency’s reported commitments, with the Bahrain amount still awaiting confirmation in that account; they are not independently verified deliveries. The account also described Kuwait’s interest in fuel storage in France and work on alternative energy transport infrastructure, without setting out contract prices or a detailed delivery schedule.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page. The preference cookie lasts six months; advertising measurement and personalization stay off.
