Story details
Rostec said on September 7 that it would invest more than 100 million rubles in six projects selected for the eighth intake of its Vector accelerator, which supports employee ideas for civilian products. The corporation said the program had received more than 19,000 applications since 2018 and that about 70 finalist projects had been approved for implementation funding.
One selected project aims to develop domestic high-performance processor modules for artificial-intelligence applications. The announcement also listed an assistive lidar-and-sonar device for people with visual impairments, a convection system to maintain patients’ body temperature around surgery and other product concepts. The 100 million ruble figure is the company’s announced total for the program; the release did not state allocations per project.
