Story details

Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation said on 9 September that the government had launched Agri360 to build a mechanisation-as-a-service economy. The programme plans training for women and young people in machinery operation and maintenance, digital agriculture and agribusiness.

The release sets a target of 5,000 trainees. Agri360 is intended to widen access to equipment and agricultural skills in support of year-round food production. The announcement describes plans and targets; it does not say training is complete or that output has already increased.
