Madrid expects the M-305 road linking Aranjuez and Seseña to reopen in early 2027. Traffic has been interrupted since the first week of September after damage involving an irrigation ditch of the Tagus River Basin Authority; the emergency works are budgeted at €3.7 million.

Demolition of the old bridge is complete and foundations for its replacement are under way, with 72 piles planned. The design omits conventional joints and supports to reduce water-leakage risk and maintenance costs; a new roundabout on the temporary diversion cuts some drivers’ route by up to 15 kilometres.
