Jordan’s Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply said it received 1,892 complaints from January through August 2026 and resolved 1,513. Petra reported the ministry’s figures on September 8, saying the resolution rate was 80%; 788 complaints had been recorded in the same period a year earlier.

The leading subjects were e-commerce, with 423 complaints, electrical appliances with 387 and vehicles with 340. The directorate listed warranty or contract terms in 902 cases, defective goods or services in 756, and misleading advertisements in 165. These are administrative complaints; the figures do not mean each case was independently confirmed as a violation.
