IFAD said on 25 September that 10 African countries pledged nearly $9 million combined to its fourteenth replenishment for 2028–2030. The pledges were announced during high-level meetings held alongside the UN General Assembly.

Several countries more than tripled their previous three-year commitments, with the largest increases approaching tenfold. IFAD said investment at the first mile of food systems can support jobs, resilience and inclusive growth in rural areas.
