DR Congo President Félix Tshisekedi and First Lady Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi attended the Or Vert du Congo agro-pastoral fair at the National Museum in Kinshasa on 3 October. The presidency said the event aims to showcase local products, encourage domestic consumption and support the goal of reducing food imports.

Organisers described a digital and technology ecosystem intended to connect producers with wider markets. National coordinator Ornela Kardozo called for new outlets for young agripreneurs, local producers and market gardeners, linking production with processing and distribution. The statement set no quantitative target for output or import reduction.
