Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and food and agri-tech company Silal signed an MoU to start an agricultural training programme in correctional and rehabilitation centres. It is intended to support reintegration through vocational skills.
The 12-month programme will cover sustainable agriculture and modern farming technologies. Based on the Farmer Field Schools model, participants will gain practical experience from seedling and land preparation through harvesting, alongside entrepreneurship skills.
Sessions will be held twice a week under Silal experts, and participants will receive accredited certificates. The announcement did not state how many people will enrol.
