Story details

Veneto said on 21 October that workers had approved an agreement to keep Peg Perego’s San Donà di Piave site operating while allowing more time to find an industrial buyer. Reached on Monday by the company, Confindustria Veneto Est, Fiom-Cgil and Fim-Cisl unions and worker representatives, the deal extends an exceptional social-support measure for six months.

The agreement gives adviser Vertus additional time to complete a possible handover to a new industrial operator. The region said support could, if needed, continue until 31 December 2027; any voluntary-exit incentive would be agreed later. Veneto and Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy will monitor the process.
