In a 19 October preview, DEWA said ALGATEC claims its new battery technology can deliver energy density of up to 1,000 watt-hours per kilogram.
The company says the technology will be unveiled publicly at WETEX for the first time worldwide and is manufactured without lithium or rare earth elements. These performance and materials statements are company claims.
The announcement gives no independent test, battery chemistry, measurement conditions, production scale, cost or commercial sales date. The technology is due to be shown at the Dubai exhibition on 20–22 October; exhibiting it does not establish commercial readiness.
