The UAE Ministerial Council for Artificial Intelligence and Development reviewed the strategy and updates for the second phase of the government’s Agentic AI Project at a meeting in Abu Dhabi on 9 September 2026. The plan is described as a national framework to widen the use of agentic AI applications in federal government work.

Measures discussed included FedAI, a proposed national technical ecosystem for federal entities to develop, adopt and operate agentic AI solutions in a secure and flexible environment; a customer-experience lab; and internal competitions for government employees. The first phase focused on building capabilities, assessing services and operations, and setting priorities. The release describes planned measures and targets, not completed deployment or measured productivity gains.
