Story details
TotalEnergies and investment firm KKR signed an agreement on 12 October to add a 700 MW renewable portfolio to their 50-50 US joint venture, formed in 2025. The company said the portfolio comprises three large solar plants in Texas and Ohio, with commissioning expected by the first quarter of 2027.
The portfolio is valued at $1.2 billion on an enterprise-value basis. Some of the electricity is already contracted to third parties; TotalEnergies will market the remaining output. Completion is expected in 2026, subject to customary conditions, and TotalEnergies will continue operating the assets afterward.
