Sudan’s Finance Minister Gebreil Ibrahim met Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) representatives in Doha on 1 October, according to the Sudan News Agency. The parties discussed technical support for feasibility work, project development and capacity-building to prepare Sudanese proposals for possible future financing and implementation.

SUNA separately reported a meeting with the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF), where the sides discussed selecting priority projects and preparing feasibility studies and technical, environmental and social assessments. The two contacts were framed around improving project readiness and government execution capacity, including procurement and risk management. The reports did not announce approved loans, grants or committed sums.
