Story details
UniGreenScheme announced a new refurbishment centre on Irongray Road in Dumfries on 2 October. Supported by a £420,000 grant from South of Scotland Enterprise, the site will expand the company’s Scottish operation by preparing usable laboratory equipment for resale.
SOSE says the expansion is expected to save more than one million kilograms of CO₂e annually and is forecast to create over 120 local jobs over a decade. The company says the new centre can hold and process more than 6,000 pallets of equipment at a time; these are projected benefits and planned capacity, not measured annual outcomes.
