Story details
In a September 29 statement, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) outlined instruments used in the country’s responsible-AI governance. They include AI Ethics Principles, an AI Adoption Framework, generative-AI guidelines for government, a professional standards framework for data and AI, and the National AI Index, which tracks government agencies’ readiness.
SDAIA also launched the National AI Risk Management Framework, according to the statement. The guide sets out a common national method for identifying, assessing, addressing and monitoring risks, and is intended for public- and private-sector organizations. SPA said the wider framework covers fairness, transparency, explainability, privacy, security and accountability. The announcement describes the framework’s launch and scope; it does not report implementation results, compliance rates or measured economic effects.
