Story details
Rabdi bin Fahd Al-Rabdi, head of the National Data Management Office at the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), said on 11 October 2026 that the National Register of Persons with Disabilities had been linked to the National Data Bank. The Saudi Press Agency reported the remarks at the International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation in Riyadh. The register belongs to the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, and access is governed by approved permissions and frameworks.
Al-Rabdi said registry information is spread across health, education, employment and social-service sectors. Integration is intended to reduce repeated collection and make records more complete, while protecting personal data and controlling access by purpose and authority. SPA reported that the National Data Bank connects more than 600 government systems and that over 314 data-management offices have been established in government entities. The statement did not report service outcomes or measured savings.
