Story details
Saturn Oil & Gas said on 19 October that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire all of Corex Resources. The stated consideration is about C$302 million: approximately C$252 million in cash and C$50 million in Saturn shares. Corex’s assets in southwestern Manitoba are expected to add roughly 7,000 barrels a day of light-oil-weighted production.
The company said the transaction remains subject to customary closing and regulatory conditions and is targeted to close in December 2026. Saturn’s production outlook and projected cost savings are company estimates, not realised outcomes. The announcement also describes about 84,000 net acres and prospective drilling locations in the acquired area. The acquisition has not yet closed.
