Story details
Rostec’s United Engine Corporation subsidiary UEC-Salut opened a production technology center for aircraft-engine components in Moscow on September 15. The corporation said the facility covers more than 10,000 square metres and contains about 230 high-tech machines and installations. Serial production at the site includes parts for the PD-14, PD-8, AI-222-25, TV7-117 and VK-2500 engine families.
The center, named “Levers and Brackets,” also includes a training facility. Rostec said it would be able to train more than 750 students from Moscow colleges each year; this is an announced annual capacity. The release does not give annual component output, investment cost or a number of new jobs.
