Qatar brings company registration for four economic zones under one body
Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry launched Companies House to unify company-registration and licensing functions across four economic zones. Its remit includes public registers, tax and immigration services, and specified compliance checks.
Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the launch of Companies House on 14 September. The body is responsible for company registration and licensing and for maintaining the public registers of the Qatar Financial Centre, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Qatar Science & Technology Park and Media City Qatar.
The ministry said the new body will also provide tax and immigration services to registered companies and verify compliance with labour standards and data-protection requirements. The announcement sets out a plan to bring the four zones’ functions under one organisation but does not specify a transition timetable or how existing registers will be transferred.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page. The preference cookie lasts six months; advertising measurement and personalization stay off.
