In a Department of Finance release dated October 2, the Philippine government said Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go had signed a ¥119.745 billion financing agreement with the Asian Development Bank, equivalent to about PHP48 billion. The Build Universal Health Care Program – Subprogram 3 supports health financing, service delivery, information management and accountability.

The program covers sustainable health financing and strategic purchasing, integrated quality services, and performance information. The Department of Health and PhilHealth will implement it. The agreement also supports reforms addressing gender-specific health needs and climate-related health effects; the release did not provide a funding breakdown by area.
