OGDCL said the Lundali-1 well in the Sukhpur-II block of Sindh province was commissioned and achieved first gas on September 6. In its September 9 announcement, the company said the well was producing 10 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, with wellhead pressure of 2,000 psi.

The gas is being supplied to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC). OGDCL holds a 30% working interest in the block; operator Prime Global Energies holds 25%, Mari Energies 30% and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company 15%. OGDCL said the start of production was adding indigenous gas to Pakistan’s national supply.
