Story details
Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (NWC) said on September 2 that it had signed two agreements and two memoranda of understanding at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh to advance its digital transformation and operational infrastructure. In the Saudi Press Agency report, one agreement with Google Cloud covers secure digital infrastructure for the national water sector. A second agreement with Zain Saudi Arabia concerns a cloud communications system intended to improve call management, privacy and response times.
The two MoUs cover hybrid cloud and data-centre services with Etihad Go Telecommunications, and integration of business travel and booking APIs with FlyAkeed. NWC said the arrangements are intended to support operational aims that include service continuity and more efficient administrative processes. The announcement did not disclose contract values, system capacities or implementation schedules.
The agreements were presented as plans to expand the use of data and cloud infrastructure in water services. The source did not say that the new systems had entered operation or that measured improvements in consumer services had already been achieved. This account distinguishes the signed agreements from their expected benefits.
