Nigeria’s State House said on 24 September that Ogun State and DP World signed memoranda of understanding in Paris on developing the proposed Gateway Deep Sea Port and Blue Marine special economic zone. The presidency described the port and zone as prospective projects for investment and trade.

President Bola Tinubu said investors would receive regulatory clarity. The MoUs establish a planning and cooperation framework; the release does not say that the port has been built, financing has closed or capacity has entered service.
