Story details

Nigeria’s State House said on 23 September that a $12 million Abuja Centre for Entrepreneurship is being developed at the SMEDAN Industrial Development Centre in Idu. The Republic of Korea is funding the project through KOICA, in partnership with SMEDAN and the United Nations Development Programme.

The release allocates $5.9 million to construction and $6.1 million to equipment and programmes. Its initial targets are support for 500 entrepreneurs, 400 start-ups and 1,500 small and medium-sized businesses. Construction is ongoing; these are intended beneficiary targets, not businesses already served.
