Moldova’s National Bureau of Statistics reported on 20 October that industrial production increased 6.7% in January–August 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. The cumulative calculation compares the gross production series for the eight months through August.

Output in August alone was 0.7% lower than in August 2025. The latest monthly decline therefore appeared alongside growth in the year-to-date total. The bureau reports both figures as gross series and does not present them as seasonally adjusted comparisons.
