Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) described its role in the emirate’s events economy on 17 October and set out an ambition to raise the sector’s annual economic output to AED54 billion by 2033. The statement cited AED25.03 billion in output generated by major events in 2025, up from AED22.35 billion in 2024, with AED14.66 billion in gross value added.
The reported 2025 impact came from 108 large exhibitions, association conventions and industry conferences that attracted nearly 2.18 million attendees. DWTC also said more than 100 events were scheduled across its venues in the final quarter of 2026, while the AED10 billion Dubai Exhibition Centre expansion at Expo City was underway. The 2033 figure is a target, not a reported achieved result.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page. The preference cookie lasts six months; advertising measurement and personalization stay off.
