Story details
Ibrahim Ahamadou Touré, director general of Mali’s Investment Promotion Agency (API-Mali), received a World Bank delegation at the agency in Bamako on October 5. API-Mali said the discussion covered investment prospects in Mali, opportunities in the economy and sectors with potential to attract additional investment.
Touré presented the objectives and partnership opportunities of the Mali Kura international investment forum, scheduled for December 11–12, 2026, at Bamako’s CICB under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. API-Mali said the World Bank expressed interest in being formally associated with the event, including through participation. The agency did not describe this as a confirmed participation decision or investment-financing commitment; the forum itself is still scheduled for a future date.
