The King Salman Park Foundation and Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia Limited signed a two-year memorandum of understanding on September 1 during LEAP 2026. The Saudi Press Agency said the cooperation aims to enhance the park’s smart-city capabilities in Riyadh and advance artificial intelligence and technological innovation.
The parties will explore AI and innovation, smart-city platforms, digital infrastructure, smart operations, talent development and sustainability. The announcement describes a framework for cooperation and exploration; it does not specify a technology deployment, budget or measured outcome.
At the BUILD 2026 conference, the communications minister cited power, connectivity, cloud access and advanced chips as constraints on local AI growth.
