NaiTel and MEDUSA Submarine Cable System signed a strategic agreement on October 1 to strengthen international connectivity. NaiTel is the telecom arm of Aqaba Digital Hub. Petra reported that a Coral Bridge connection will give the Aqaba hub an access point to the MEDUSA network and a direct route from Aqaba to Europe.

Under the collaboration, MEDUSA plans to establish colocation capacity at Aqaba Digital Hub and integrate its submarine infrastructure with NaiTel’s regional and international network. The hub is described as an open-access, carrier-neutral data centre and cable landing station. The announcement gives no investment value, cable completion date or commercial capacity, so the reported outcome is limited to the signed integration agreement and planned access infrastructure.
