Jordan Customs said licensed clearance companies had processed about 656,000 declarations since the start of 2026, according to a September 1 Petra report. The tally covered imports, exports, transit and re-export declarations, reflecting the volume handled by customs brokers and authorities.

The same report cited Aqaba port cargo throughput of about 7.978 million tonnes, compared with 5.363 million tonnes in the corresponding prior-year period. These are administrative throughput figures; they do not by themselves measure customs revenue, cargo value or the contribution of each route.
