Story details

Hitachi said on September 1 that it will work with Bloom Energy to develop on-site power solutions in Japan for data centres and industrial customers. Hitachi will handle systems integration and design support; Bloom will provide fuel cells and technical assistance.

The collaboration aims to generate electricity at customers’ own facilities. The announcement defines target markets and each company’s role, but names no customer contract, capacity or commissioning date.
