Story details

Fujairah hosted the 14th Energy Markets Forum on 6–7 October 2026. The event, EMFWEEK26, was organised and supported by Fujairah Port, and its central theme was “Strengthening resilience and enabling opportunity”, according to Emirates News Agency’s closing report. The two-day programme held 34 sessions.

Discussions considered how energy trading east of Suez could move from spot-supply efficiency towards more resilient, risk-prepared models, as well as the Strait of Hormuz, shifts in global oil and gas flows, the Gulf economic outlook for 2027, energy security, trade routes and inventories. The report describes the forum agenda and session count; it does not announce concrete policy decisions, new contracts or measured market outcomes. This story concerns the forum’s conclusion and does not combine a separate account of the same gathering.
