Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance said Minister Ahmed Shide and National Bank Governor Eyob Tekalign met World Bank Managing Director Anna Bjerde and Regional Vice President Ndiamé Diop on 1 October. The parties reaffirmed their strategic partnership and discussed strengthening cooperation around private-sector-led growth.

The ministry listed Mission 300, the AgriConnect Compact, the E-Mobility Program and the Water Forward Initiative among the areas discussed. It also said the meeting considered access to additional financing windows and the Development Ready Initiative. The statement does not announce a new loan, grant or financing amount; it describes coordination and possible avenues for future support.
