Story details

German renewable-energy producer Encavis said on 21 October that it had signed its first hybrid solar-and-wind power purchase agreement in Spain with Visalia. The three-and-a-half-year deal covers 60 GWh a year from its 199 MW Aragón portfolio near Zaragoza.

The contracted electricity comes from two solar parks and three wind farms. Encavis and Visalia said combining the different generation profiles is intended to provide a more balanced supply across the day and year.
