Egypt investment funds’ net assets reach EGP471 billion in Q2
Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority put investment funds’ net asset value at EGP471 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2026. More than 171,000 new investors had registered on the stock exchange by then.
Egypt’s State Information Service reported that Financial Regulatory Authority chairman Islam Azam presented second-quarter figures at a 6 October meeting. Newly registered investors on the Egyptian Exchange exceeded 171,000, while trading value topped EGP6.4 trillion, about 78.3% higher than in the same quarter a year earlier.
Investment funds’ net asset value rose 14.7% to EGP471 billion across 224 funds, with 44 billion fund units; individuals held 75% of the units. These are quarter-end figures reported by the regulator. The report also said Basel III rules for non-bank finance are scheduled to take effect in January 2027.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page. The preference cookie lasts six months; advertising measurement and personalization stay off.
