Story details
DEWA International, the overseas investment arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, signed four memorandums of understanding during WETEX on 20 October. Discussions with France’s EDF Power Solutions cover potential joint investments in solar, wind, battery storage and pumped-storage hydropower. China Energy International Group may be considered as an engineering, procurement and construction partner for energy, water and infrastructure projects.
With UK-based Capital Dynamics, the parties will explore joint investment in operating clean-energy assets and a vehicle for future infrastructure investments. Tata Consultancy Services is being considered as a technical consultancy partner for technology strategy, information technology and operational technology integration, and asset performance management. DEWA describes these as memorandums and potential areas of cooperation; it announced no firm investment amount, project award or binding implementation timetable.
