Story details

The Government of Canada opened a new call for proposals on September 24 under the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy Ecosystem Fund. The funding is intended for projects that provide business networks, training, mentorship and other support to help women entrepreneurs start, grow and scale businesses.

The call makes a total of up to C$80 million in non-repayable contributions available across successful applicants, to be disbursed over four years beginning in fiscal year 2027/28. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on November 9, 2026. The government also announced C$173.7 million over five years in June 2026 to renew the broader Women Entrepreneurship Strategy. This call focuses on the ecosystem-support component of that programme.
