Story details
First Mining Gold released initial results on September 10 from its 2026 drilling at the Miroir target within the Duparquet project in Quebec’s Abitibi region. The company reported 5.26 grams of gold per tonne over 19.55 metres in hole DUP26-093, including 7.58 grams over 12.95 metres and 21.80 grams over 1 metre. Hole DUP26-096 returned 3.43 grams per tonne over 28 metres, according to the release.
The company said its program began in May and is targeting about 15,000 metres of drilling for exploration and resource advancement. The reported holes tested an eastern and down-plunge extension of the Miroir structure. Interval lengths are measurements along the drill holes and do not by themselves establish the deposit’s true thickness. First Mining said its exploration director, identified as a qualified person under NI 43-101, reviewed and approved the technical disclosure.
