Story details

Brazil’s National Supply Company, Conab, added beans grown in Rio Grande do Sul to its PGPAF list announced on 9 October. Eligible family farmers can receive a 0.16% discount on instalments under the National Family Farming Strengthening Program (Pronaf). The list is valid from 10 October through 9 November 2026.

Conab said it calculated the product- and state-level discounts by comparing September prices with the program’s guaranteed reference prices. The October list covers 14 products; other examples include an 8.36% discount for sugarcane in Maranhão and 54.4% for cowpea in Amapá. Seven products left the monthly discount list after their prices moved above the reference levels.
