Story details

Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee said on 12 October that the country traded with 175 countries in the first eight months of 2026. Goods were exported to 125 countries and imported from 163. Foreign-trade turnover reached $33,934.9 million, while the reported positive trade balance was $11,088.1 million.

Compared with the same period a year earlier, total trade turnover increased 7.4% in nominal terms but declined 15.4% in real terms. The rates use different bases, so a higher dollar value alone does not show that the physical volume of goods grew. The Committee’s short release does not detail changes in product composition, and its totals cannot identify the contribution of particular markets or industries.
